Light the World!

That is really cool that you are able to do Light the World! We went around and pushed it pretty big in our ward as well. We had put an insert in the bulletin with the calendar for the month. Each week we are going to have the upcoming week with the ideas in the bulletin. We also had one of our ward missionaries create a facebook page where he is going to post the video for each day and members will join and share their experiences and invite friends to the page. And hopefully on Christmas, we will have some cookies made that us and the other Elders in the 2nd ward will go and ding dong ditch people with a plate of cookies and leave a light the world pass along card on top. We are pretty excited!

This past few days have been good. Nothing too crazy has happened. There was a talk by a 12 year old in sacrament that was really good. He talked about gratitude and the importance of being grateful. We all definitely have a lot to be grateful for. We just need to look to Heavenly Father and give Him our thanks. He has given us so much, we need to recognize that and be grateful! One thing that, as a missionary, we need to be grateful for is the opportunities to talk to people and openly look for the Hand of the Lord. If we take a step back and think about the opportunities we are given to talk to people, how it is orchestrated, and the timing of it all, and then put that into perspective of Heavenly Father's Plan, then we really can see how much He is involved in this work. For example, on Saturday we were out in the morning and talking with people and we saw an older gentleman go to grab something in his car. He grabbed it and then started heading back inside. We caught him and talked to him for a while. Apparently he went to the store earlier in the day, but forgot to grab that stuff out of his car. So he went out and grabbed it at the exact time that we were walking by. What are the chances of that? It is pretty cool to see the Lord's hand in the work through His Spirit.
