Getting Transferred

Hey! So we did get transfer calls on Saturday evening. Elder Patterson is going to be staying here in Salem 1st and I am going to be going over to Newberg. This transfer is going to be pretty crazy. We have 31 missionaries coming in on Wednesday and 28 going home. And then the September transfer, because of schooling reasons, is going home on August 22nd, so we have 16 more missionaries leaving that date. But then in September, we have 28 more coming out. So there is a lot of stuff going on. There are a lot of trainers. Elder Patterson and his new zone leader companion will both be getting trainees, so there will be four missionaries in this ward and all living together. For me, I will be going up to be with Elder Woody and Bills. Elder Woody goes home on the 22nd though. Elder Bills and Woody will both be training and then I will take over training when
Elder Woody goes home. There is a lot of stuff going on. It is going to be an extremely busy time. This week was super busy. But it was good. We had MLC on Wednesday. That was really good. We learned about the importance of helping the people we are teaching understand the doctrine that will help them have a desire to act. We also talked about the importance of using the scriptures to show the promised blessings that the Lord has given us. It was a good MLC! We also had exchanges with Jan Ree on Tuesday. That was fun. I was with Elder McElreath. He is a new missionary from Georgia. He is a really good missionary! He has been out for six weeks now, but he is awesome. It was fun being with him. (His new companion will actually be Elder Lambert from AZ). Other than that, we had a lot of stuff happen, but today is going to be super busy so I don't have a ton of time to write. Gotta get ready for the move. There is a lot of stuff being talked about with this big eclipse happening on the 21st. People are going to be coming into the state from all over, so we are having to prepare for that as well. Crazyness.
